The Lortone Model QT12 tumbler is a high-capacity machine for the experienced person or the beginner who has easy access to lots of rough. It has a large 12-pound capacity rubber barrel for quiet operation. It will process a lot of rough and enable you to tumble larger pieces of rough.
The Model QT12 has a heavy-duty maintenance-free motor that will give years of regular use. It also has a metal frame, metal drive shafts and a durable construction. The moving parts can all be easily replaced if you wear them out. You can also easily adapt the machine and use it to run two Lortone six-pound barrels (not provided). This is the machine to get if you plan to polish a lot of rock.
For Best Polishing Results:
If you are really serious about getting a high quality polish we recommend getting a separate barrel and using it exclusively for the polishing step. A dedicated barrel for polish (and a thorough cleaning of your rocks after the 600 grit step) will help avoid grit contamination of your polishing step. |
