Unakite is an igneous rock composed mainly of pink orthoclase feldspar, yellow-green epidote, quartz and minor amounts
of other minerals. It is a granite of unusual color, composition and appearance.
For sale are beautifully polished unakite gemstones. These tumbled stones are sold in 4 ounce (113 gram), 8 ounce
(226 gram) and one pound (453 gram) bags. Your stones will be similar in size, shape and color to the stones pictured above. They are perfect for a variety of jewelry
and craft projects - or simply to admire.

Unakite is a popular gemstone because of its unusual color pattern. It is often tumbled, cut into cabochons,
used to make beads, cut into spheres and cut into small sculptures.
Unakite is named for the Unaka Mountains of eastern Tennessee. Much of the commercial Unakite sold today
is mined in Zimbabwe, Africa. It is also found at other locations around the world.
