Chrysoprase is a name given to specimens of green chalcedony that are often found in areas near nickel deposits.
Trace amounts of nickel in the chalcedony produces a variety of green colors.
The Citron Chrysoprase sold here
receives its name because its color is similar to the citron citrus fruit. It has been polished to a matte luster and has
a translucent to almost opaque diaphaneity.
